Hello! I am a highly experienced 28-year-old with a great passion for kids. I've been a caretaker ever since I can remember-becoming a daycare teacher right away at 18 and nannying through college. I am now a licensed Elementary and Early Childhood teacher and spent the first half of my career teaching Pre-K, Kindergarten, and First grade. Post COVID, I left the classroom and taught literacy with SDSU, but eventually found my way back to nannying. As a nanny, I have cared for children ranging in age from NB to 7th graders. I'm passionate about engaging children in fun, hands-on, and developmentally appropriate activities that help them grow in all aspects of life! I believe it truly takes a village to raise smart, kind, resilient little humans and love to be a part of the team. I'm CPR/First aid trained, confident in Baby Led Weaning & independent sleep approaches, and have experience with children of all abilities and ages. Kate has been helping us for 3 months and is amazing with our now 9mo old, and our 3y old when she’s home from daycare. Kate is punctual, communicative, and receptive to following our parenting styles. She’s great about knowing what kinds of activities each kid would find engaging, and helping our son meet developmental milestones. Both kids get so excited to see her every morning. We would absolutely be continuing to rely on her if we weren’t moving away. We’ll miss her!
