In high school, I was a peer tutor for two years working in the special needs classroom with other high schoolers helping with school work and daily tasks. Once I graduated, I began working in behavioral health hospitals and currently work in a hospital here in Louisville where I take care of low IQ, verbal and nonverbal children ranging in ages from 3-18 helping with hygiene, daily tasks, and school work. Behaviors range from non-aggressive to physically aggressive. I have a big heart for working with kids who may have some delays or have been diagnosed with a special need.
