I'd describe my personality as patient, loving and fun I like caring for people with special needs because I have a background being a behavioral technician and teacher for special education and love the population. However, I love all children and babies. I can help with homework, light housekeeping, driving to sports and making light meals. I am CPR and first aid trained as well as have a background in early childhood education. I started caring for people with special needs 3 years ago when I worked in an autism clinic. I also have experience working with special needs children with behavioral needs in a school district for two years following and am working on my masters degree for counseling children and families.

Katelyn has been amazing with our son and part of the family for over a year. I’m a mother with a special needs son, nonverbal autistic, and when I returned to work the stress in finding the right person was overwhelming. Katelyn has been a blessing! She has commuted to and from ABA therapy and speech therapy daily and they are drives! She has loved and cared for my amazing son and truly gotten to know him. She invested in his skill development daily. My son uses AAC, signs and we work on speech, we have also been potty training over a year and use a timed schedule. We have plenty of accidents and my son is sensory seeking and will paint everything with his BM….. Katelyn has invested to know him and handles all these things professionally and with love. Problem behaviors like biting have been handled and discussed with grace and knowledge. I can’t say enough about Katelyn and know we will continue to have her in our lives.
