I have worked for the last 5 years as an elementary aide to children with special needs. Those needs have ranged from emotional disorders, ASD's, Down Syndrome, learning disabilities, OCD, ODD, and others. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and am certified to teach elementary school in Maine and New Hampshire. The majority of children I have worked with in the past five years have been one-on-one cases and have been diagnosed with autism. I have worked with children ages 4 to 8 with special needs, but have had experience in child care with children from ages 3 months to 15 years. Prior to working as an aide, I worked as a nanny for two children. When I started working with them, they were 1 and 6 years old, and I remained with this family for 8 years.
