About Katelyn

I like caring for seniors because I learn something from each person I work with. It makes me happy to have a positive impact on someone in return. I started caring for seniors when I was in high school as a Home Health Aide, which inspired me to go to school to become a Physical Therapist Assistant. I've worked a total of 6 years under the supervision of a Physical Therapist. I recently moved back to Lewiston from Vermont, where I worked the last 4 years as a Home Health PTA. It is important to note that I am not legally able to provide specific Physical Therapy care as prescribed by a doctor, as my NY license is expired, and I would need to practice with supervision from a PT. However, I'm happy to encourage safe physical activity. I am also a Certified Dementia Practitioner. I'm looking to work evenings few hours a week where I can connect with someone. I have a son who is almost 1 and while I love being able to stay at home with him, I often find myself missing my job.
