Hi! My name is Katelyn and I am a secondary education major with the subject to teach history at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. I am originally from St. Louis. I started working with kids when I was 16 and I got my first job at a summer day camp. I worked with ages 5-12, and continued every summer until I was 19. I am looking for a family that can be flexible with my class schedule as well as a family that values adequate care for the children. While my experience has been mostly with children of those ages above, I have also cared for toddlers and infants. I care for my 8-month-old nephew on occasion and I know they can be a handful! I am CPR and first aid certified, so I know how to act fast in case of an emergency. My top 3 qualities in child care are creativity when making new activities, working quick on my feet, and accommodating to children's specific needs.
