Kate helped me one weekend with my twin preschoolers, 1 who is special needs. We scheduled a meeting the weekend beforehand and Kate was great! She promptly got down on the floor to be at the same height and eye level as my kiddos and verry effectively engaged with them. Upon saying they wanted to play hide and seek, it was instantly game on! Kate has a knack for getting a read on the personaliry of children and impressively navigatimg successful interactions with them. Within 20 minutes of meeting Kate, both of my 4 year-olds were climbing into her lap (not typical!) which revealed they had quickly picked up on her genuine interest in them, and obviously felt comfortable and safe getting physically close and cuddling with her. They talked about her all week until she returned the following weekend. I had a lot of activities crammed into those 2 days and she wasn't phased at all by it... Kate was high-energy, up for anything, and one of her most endearing traits we fell in love with was, while involved doing fun activities with children, Kate does not just supervise but iactually has fun herself! Kate's experience was evident in the words and approach she used to communicate with my kiddos. My twins gravitated quickly toward Kate's positive vibe and smiles of abundance. We had a great time with her and it is evident she would do fabulous with a wide range of ages. If you're looking for a nanny with a background in helping children learn and having fun while spending time together, I recommend getting to know Kate and watching as your children are pleasantly surprised by connecting with her.
