About Katarina

Hello! I'm a dynamic STEM and Spanish tutor with 8 years experience educating K-12 and even university students. As a UC Berkeley chemistry graduate with coursework and research in science education, I know how to help your student thrive in some of the most challenging subjects. I'd describe my personality as outgoing, positive, and kind. I like tutoring because it is so rewarding to help a student realize their potential by giving them the one on one attention they need in a tricky subject. I know how confusing certain classes can be, and I was able to graduate from top public schools by being tutored, too! I started tutoring at age 17 in my local library's . Since then I have been an instructor, on the online Learning platform, and was a science teacher for two years in rural Mexico. In my spare time, I like to surf and protect the planet
