In addition to my teaching career, I have years of experience as a full-time nanny for children from newborn to 6 years old, both live-in and live-out, with particular expertise in caring for children aged 12 months to 2 years. My nanny experience includes working with multiples, children with disabilities, ADHD, and Autism. I am CPR and first aid trained for infants and children, and proficient in potty training and sleep training. I strongly believe in supporting the whole child through literacy, nature, and the arts. Karlie is excellent. Karlie worked with our family as a full-time nanny. She lovingly cared for our 1yo and 4yo. Karlie is punctual, nurturing, able to set consistent, clear and appropriate limits. She transported our children to and from activities, including swimming lessons/beach, outdoor educational programs, museums. She is creative, active, organized and a highly skilled story time reader! She is car seat certified, well-practiced with carriers (Ergo & Tula), cloth diaper (many kinds), and always prioritizes safety. We had been unable to trust a childcare provider until we met Karlie. Our children attached to Karlie immediately, and she continues to be a part of our family, as she currently babysits for us. My children look forward to seeing her at every opportunity. Without hesitation we give Karlie our highest recommendation.
