I have always been passionate about working with children and since college that passion has only grown. I have taken multiple classes on child development, physical and mental disabilities, and even on adapted physical activity in order to accommodate all types of needs. I was an intern at Sparrow Hospital for a semester, working in their Pediatric Rehabilitation Department. This gave me about 140 hours in a clinical therapy setting, working alongside Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, and Speech Therapists. I am currently working as an In-Home Care Aide for an individual with cerebral palsy. This job requires a lot of hands on care such as dressing, toileting, personal hygiene, as well as working on their independence and improving upon overall daily living. I really love what I do and being able to provide others with good, educated, and positive support is what brings me joy.
