About Karla

Hello! I am Karla, an aspiring art teacher who is currently attending college to earn my associates in Art & Design, with hopes of later transferring to a four-year to earn my bachelors and masters in Art Education. I have been working with school-aged children for the better part of 6 years, having officially started when I graduated high school in 2018. I also have a sister, who is 7-8 years younger than me, that I have looked after ever since she was born. My experience in childcare is what has pushed me into my current career path. And I enjoy using the things that I have learned through my art within my job as a caregiver. Besides this, I also love reading in my free time, as well as drawing and playing games. I would love to be able to share these experiences and be a role model for any child that is in my care, showing them ways to express and explore themselves and the world around them.
