At 38 years of age, I have many years of experience caring for people ranging in age from newborn to 99 years old. I have a passion for helping others and have cared for more people than I can count over the past 20 years. I am CPR and 1st aid certified. I have worked with the State for the past several years in helping care for persons with varying degrees of disabilities. Through my continuing education, I have learned the Positive Behavior Support method and maintain CPI (Nonviolent Crisis Intervention) training. I also have a current background check on file. I started doing child care at the age of 12. Most of my younger years were spent caring for family members including a set of infant twins. I now run my own small business as a caregiver that specializes in high needs. I am an educated, fun-loving, honest, and determined mother of 2. I have fostered in the past. Helping people is who I am. I am always eager for the next opportunity.

We hired Karla in November 2015. She started off caring for our dad, until he passed. She continued to care for our mom, until she passed recently. She was there for both. Whenever our parents went into the hospital, she would be right there by their side. Always making sure their level of care was consistent and their needs respected. She is a loving person, with a warm heart. As time went on, she managed the other caretakers and helped keep the household in order. Once she took on that role, we never had to worry about a lack in coverage. If Karla wasn't available, she would already have arranged for someone else to attend to our parents. I just can't say enough about her impact on our family. We were very blessed to have had her all of these years.
