I grew up with a Terrier Cocker Spaniel. This is a small dog with friendship qualities and very easy to care for. While dating my husband-to-be I cared for our German Shepherd who was an abused dog. We trained him around kids and he was great. Now with kids of our own we "just had to" buy a dog so our kids could learn responsibility and compassion. Lucky us we bought Bella from the pound and she is a joy. Bella is a Beagle/Bassett Hound who is not the typical barker. Bella is quiet and very social.
