Coordinating with Kariyyah was more challenging that with other nannies, because she tended to be avoidant in her communication style and unsettled in her stance about basic aspects of the engagement (e.g., the hours during which she was available to interview, her desired pay, willingness to engage in light chores, willingness to care for a child during illness). This made for a lot of bread-crumbing and shifting information/attitudes. It ultimately was not an ongoing match for either party, but direct communication would have been far more productive in advancing our discussions one way or the other. She seems like a pleasant person from our brief in-person interactions (she watched my daughter for a couple of hours and accompanied us on an ER visit). However, her noncommittal communication style and abrupt quitting after accepting the job did not align with other nannies with whom I work, and I do hope that she receives this as constructive feedback. I think three stars is a fair assessment inasmuch as there was potential but certainly some areas for improved professionalism.
