About Karissa

I have babysat my entire life; starting with watching younger sisters and neighbors when I was around 12 years old. I have cared for families with 3+ kids ranging from infants to middle school age. On the job I have changed diapers, prepared meals, cleaned the house, and taken the kids on outings or to school. I recently got my B. S. degree in Ecology at Seattle Pacific University, so I love to engage with educational material and to explore the outdoors- whether it be just poking in the dirt in the back yard, or going to the zoo. I also have a passion for the arts (I was a grade-school-age art camp teacher) and so I love to think creatively and to use my imagination and encourage the kids that I watch to do so as well- through coloring, painting, beading, writing, cooking, etc. I also love pets and enjoy teaching kids how to care for another creature.
