Hello my name is Karisa and I currently work full time as a nanny . Before this from the ages of 18 to 23 I worked in a group home for individuals with different disabilities . During my time here I did bed transfers , assisted with feedings , bathing , taking clients on activities as well as gave medicine and brought them on appointments. I've learned extensive training for different individuals and have worked with clients with autism and cerebral palsy and also have been around seizures and can be trained in a specific protocol with ease . After being a regular staff for 2 years I became assistant manager . I miss the healthcare field dearly and would love to help out in my spare time for people who need it . I understand it is very hard to find people who are compassionate and knowledgeable on special needs individuals and I hope to be of some help !
