Week of August 22 only! I love children and enjoy helping them grow in character and knowledge. I am warm and caring. One of my strengths is teaching a child something new or helping them overcome a struggle. Developing a child's character is important and would prefer to partner with families that value love, discipline and integrity. Meanwhile, children ask a lot of questions! I strive to be a respectful listener to foster healthy relationships and their personal growth. My experience is diverse. I have taught art to PreK to 8th grade. I have tutored 1st to 5th grade in reading, writing and math and have some experience with learning disabilities. Being aware of a child's natural curiosities, I encourage creativity through simple art lessons or science experiments; or build something imaginary using recycled materials. Games are a great way to have fun and exercise! I enjoy most sports including tennis. Looking for a position in the Needham area only.

Kari was such a blessing to our family this past year! We hired her for our after-school caregiver for the 2020-2021 school year and kept her for additional support in June until camps started. She is loving, patient, creative and engaging. In addition to picking up the kids from school she also ensured they completed their homework and helped them with their reading and math skills. She even researched and found ways to engage them and accommodate their individual learning styles and interests. She often helped me with dinner meal prep as well. We all enjoyed having Kari as part of our extended family this past year!
