My name is Karen (I go by Denise) and I am a retired teacher with over 30 years experience in elementary and middle school special education in Wake County Public Schools. My teaching career centered around children with significant cognitive/language delays and/or physical disabilities, as well as autism. I love working with this population and would like to continue to help others live actively in their community and at home. I am currently interested in occasional sitter jobs and would love to talk with you about your loved ones special care needs. I can provide you with a background check, and work/personal references upon request. I am willing to transport children and adults in my personal vehicle and I have a clean driving record. I can provide a Motor Vehicles report as well. I have been fully vaccinated against COVID, including the booster. I am a non-smoker, I am comfortable with pets and I am willing to do light housekeeping and simple food preparation.
