About Karen

I'm a Behavioral Therapist, working in homes after school with elementary children on the Autism Spectrum and mornings with preschool Sp. Ed children. I've worked as a nanny for 5 years. I'm CPR/BLS certified. I'm a mother of two adult children. As mine were growing, I was a licensed in home preschool teacher. When they were school age, I worked 8 yrs for Capistrano Unified School District in Special Education. with students of all ages. I have worked for the public libraries as a Storytime Conductor and Children's Program Facilitator, running the Preschool Readiness Program for 10 years. I love to spend lots of time in the church's nursery with the babies. I have always had a strong passion for children. Playing, singing, dancing, reading and laughing with them keeps me young! They don't realize it, but they're doing all their learning through these things if the teacher is good. Even their chores can be made into a positive experience. Every moment is a learning opportunity for life.
