I'm a skilled, healthy cook, especially for dietary needs, and communicate with warmth and respect. I'm comfortable holding space for end-of-life emotions and supporting elders through the frustrations of aging and changing independence. I enjoy meaningful connection- intellectually, emotionally, and spiritually- when desired, and love reading, creative activities, and gentle time in nature with those who are interested and able. I'm also a steady, positive presence for individuals with limited verbal communication. After years in the business world, including 7 in tech and design, I'm shifting from all-day screen work to caring for people, while continuing part-time freelance design work. I spent a lot of time caring for my grandmother at the end of her life.
