I have 20.+ years in the care industry. I'd describe my personality as lighthearted, happy and calm. I like caring for seniors because their life experiences are so rich. My heart has always reached out for the elders. They have so much to teach. I'm looking for a job that is part-time and ideally in the east county area of San Diego. I started caring for seniors when I switched job industries in the mid-1990s. Prior to this, it was already becoming my role within my family and circle of friends to assist those who were coming to need additional care. In my spare time, I like to read, write, lecture and teach on various subjects related to consciousness and consciousness exploration. One thing you should know about me is that I always show up and I am never late. It is like an impossibility within my character make up. This is true even from the earliest days, heading into grade school. My skills include personal care & hygiene, medication management, health and well-being.

Karen (KC) was very much a part of the family and our care team. She is very professional, always prompt, and extremely reliable. Karen kepts great documentation on a daily basis of Mom’s meals, activities, and her alertness. Karen is an expert in dementia and Alzheimers care from her years experience—she promotes physical activity, music therapy, and choice! She had Mom participate whenever possible—helping stir food, or selecting between meal options. We had to move Mom 300 miles to be closer to me…or Karen would still be her care giver today!
