I have several years experience working with children with autism and other developmental disabilities. I worked at Summit Educational Resources for about 4 years as a 1:1 aide and floating aide with children ranging in age from 6-10. I have experience with PECS, ABA and I know some sign language. I also worked at Buffalo Hearing and Speech with young children diagnosed with Autism with children ages 2-5. I have also worked in a group home (ICF) with adults with mild to severe Mental Retardation. I feel very comfortable working with children with autism or dual diagnosed. I feel very rewarded when I can help a child meet his or her goals as written in the ISP. Its very rewarding work that I enjoy!
