Through lived experience of one medically fragile child and one special needs child, extensive volunteer experience and now as an assistant teacher ( starting a new position with the special needs population in the fall) I bring a robust variety of skills to caring for infants, children, teens and some adults with special needs. My current head teacher values my ability to see and encourage the gifts in all I serve and she has described me as possessing a "relentless positive energy". Special capabilities include partnering with occupational, play, physical and speech and language therapists, helping with speech and language, sensory integration, positive strategies for self regulation, social skills and skills of daily living. I have bottomless patience and love for my work. I take the safety of those in my care very seriously and have advanced training in Covid-19 protocols. I can adjust seamlessly to the needs and values of each family.
