About Karen

I'm a friendly and patient childcare provider with a passion for caring for children. With one year of experience, I'm comfortable caring for two children aged 1-11. I'm also happy to help with light housekeeping and meal preparation. My love for children and my experience in early childhood development coursework motivate me to be a caregiver. I believe in open and honest communication with parents, providing verbal updates at pickup and regular updates via text or phone call, whichever the parent prefers. My calm demeanor and friendly approach make me approachable to both children and parents. I'm very comfortable enforcing household rules while still maintaining a nurturing and fun environment. I enjoy playing various games with children, including board games, puzzles, and technology-based games and apps. I'm also a Spanish speaker, so I can help children learn a new language.
