About Karen

I have spent the last seven years as the full-time caregiver for my elderly mother with Parkinson's. She passed away recently at the amazing age of 96, and I am easing back into the workforce! My experience includes 10 years of supervising a large church nursery (ages 24 - 36 months) and providing backup supervision and coverage for ages 8 weeks - 24 months, as well as many years of working with developmentally and physically disabled children and adults in a variety of settings, from High School to Summer Camps. And of course, I have raised my own two children, who are now 17 and 21 and need much less of my time. In addition to childcare, I love animals of all kinds (have raised dogs, cats, dragons and a snake!), am quite handy at household projects, and enjoy gardening, organizing, and cooking. I can organize your pantry, clear out your garage, walk the dog or nurture your kids... and include them in all of the above activities, as well!
