About Kalyn

Hi there! I love to teach, meeting students where they are and pushing them towards growth confidence and Independence. I have a double degree in Secondary Education and English Literature from GCU and seven years of experience through being a high school teacher, tutor, and director of education. I taught English, Creative Writing, and Speech (public speaking, not speech-language pathology). As a tutor I've instructed students ages pre-k to college in homework support, ELA, test prep, and math through pre-algebra. As a director of education, one of my responsibilities was monitoring curriculum and student progress, working with families to create custom learning plans and modifications. I love children and love education, always striving to meet students where they are and help them achieve their goals!
