About Kaitlyn

I'd describe my personality as loving, fun, and calm. I love working with kids because I really enjoy being able to help them learn and grow by providing love, support, and patience. I started working with kids when I decided to become a teacher during my first year of college. I substitute taught all grades (but mostly kindergarten-third grade) for three years during college and after graduation. I have taught special education at the high school level for eight years and every summer, I work the "extended school year" program, which helps students with severe disabilities. I worked for a summer at Lightbridge Academy and have babysat my two nieces and nephew (7, 11, and 13) countless times. One thing you should know about me is I am dedicated to what I do and absolutely love working with children. I pride myself on being a fun, loving, patient, and supportive figure in my students' lives and have countless times been the person they come to for all sorts of problems.
