Hi everyone! My name is Kait. It's a pleasure to (virtually) meet you. I am 25 currently pursuing my Master's of Special Education. I am also caretaker professional with nearly a decade of experience working with children and adults ages 0-23 with various disabilities, both intellectual and physical. My philosophy is deeply rooted in empathy. I know that the children I support are intelligent and nuanced individuals, and that communication comes in many forms. A person is not defined by their diagnosis, abilities, or communication methods. They are defined by who they are, and who they are is always enough. I have caretaking experience with the following disabilities: - Cerebral Palsy - Autism (varying levels of support needs, both verbal and nonverbal) - Epilepsy - TBI - Global Developmental Delay My availability is open aside from Mondays, as that is when I student teach in a special education classroom. I am searching for a full time care position.
