I grew up exposed to people with autism, down syndrome and other special needs. I love the fun and energy someone with special needs can bring to life. I have a passion for taking on challenging situations in order to help better a child. I am currently a senior, studying special education at APU. I am a person with a passion for working with children. I've worked with kids ranging in all ages in many different settings. I have been involved with student teaching for three semesters and spent most of my high school career volunteering in elementary school class rooms. From being a dance teacher, to be a camp counselor for 6 years, I love it all!

Kaitlin was a counselor at the Summer Camp I run. She is wonderful with kids. She is very attentive to their needs. She gives them her undivided attention. She listens to how they are feeling and what they want to tell her. At camp she was responsible for the safety of 10-16 campers. She was always great with them. Kaitlin has experience with kids that have special needs. She is patient and calm. She never raises her voice, but can be firm when needed. She is eligible for rehire with the summer camp.
