Hello!! My name is Kaija, I recently just came into my role as a certified clinical medical assistant. Prior to this, I was a clinical assistant (patient support, caregiver.) On weekdays, I get to experience direct patient care - usually obtaining vitals and going over medications. Often I will assist in procedures/minor surgeries with my provider (definitely my favorite part!) I would not be doing this outside of my clinic since it is out of my scope of practice. However, I am wishing to experience more direct patient care by assisting with bathing, dressing, companionship and helping out any way I can. I'm very eager to start wherever I can!!
