About Kahlen

I enjoy working with kids because of my genuine passion for helping them learn and grow the same way they help me! Working with kids has not only challenged my patience, problem solving, & creativity but they have helped me to develop the most in those areas of my life. I enjoy being able to witness the joy and progress of children as they explore the world we live in! I started working with kids 4 years ago, 2 years in high school I began working with children 1-3yrs old. I also have paid outside experience babysitting children 6-7yrs of age as well. I also have experience with my own niece and nephew. In my spare time, I like to workout, cook and try new recipes. I also like coloring, long walks & rollerskating. My skills include my ability to empathize with children expressing big emotions & being able to understand their needs, my patience allows me to stay calm when working with behavior that may require repeated explanations & composed in more stressful & demanding situations.
