About Kaela

I am a recent college graduate that aspires to become a pediatric physical therapist. I am highly experienced in childcare of all kinds. I have been a swim instructor, paraprofessional at Western Pennsylvania School for Blind Children (WPSBC) , camp counselor, tutor, gym teacher assistant at The Children's Institute, and have overall been surrounded by children my entire life. At WPSBC where children with a wide variety of mental abilities attended I worked in the residential program where I was responsible for assisting with and managing all hygiene needs including showering, changes, etc. , creating activities such as crafts, exercise activities, spa days, etc. , and ensuring the children were safe and secure while sleeping. I am comfortable with caring for a wide range of physical and mental abilities and have experience with autism, cerebral palsy, and down syndrome.
