About Julissa

I like caring for seniors because they need help and compassion at this late stage of life. I'm looking for a job that allows me the opportunity to have flexibility in my schedule. I want to help people in need of assistance and share my experiences with them. I started caring for seniors when I was in high school. I come from a Hispanic family with a background of strong family ties and values. I was taught to respect and support my elders as well as everyone around me. I cared for my grandparents, uncles and for my dad before he passed. In my spare time, I like to read, walk around trails and explore nature. I also enjoy cooking, trying new recipes, making handmade beaded jewelry, watching documentaries, working out and kayaking. I am responsible, respectful with a clear understanding of personal and cultural boundaries. My skills include helping with managing medication schedules, moderate household cleaning and cooking. I am a good listener and resourceful.
