I was my grandpa's caregiver for about 3 years. He had arthritis, dementia and diabates. I would help with light housekeeping, made him breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and also would give him his medications usually after breakfast and would make sure he took them all. Towards the end, it got more difficult for him to move so I would help him with some mobility. For example, helping him walk to the restroom and getting up from bed. I also gave him a lot of companionship. I would sit and talk with him for however long and we enjoyed it. I know how important it is to care for a loved one, I will always do anything and everything I can to make sure they are always well taken care of, happy and content.
