About Julie

Hello! I am a teacher turned proud mom and I offer child care in the Park Hill neighborhood. I am an educator and advocate for children, having taught ECE, kindergarten, and first grade in a classroom setting. I have been working specifically with young children for the last 16 years and I have a Masters Degree in Educational Psychology and Child Development. Our community loves taking field trips and we are members of the Natural History Museum, the Denver Zoo, and The Children's Museum, the Botanic Gardens and the Butterfly Pavilion, among other places. When we are not out on an adventure we enjoy center and choice time with lots of unstructured, hands on, sensory, exploratory activities. While the crew is together I encourage responsibility and kindness through high expectations scaffolded with empathy and understanding. My belief is that children should have a space to create, explore, and be individuals where they feel safe, supported and able to take risks.
