About Julie

I'd describe my personality as compassionate, dedicated and fun. I like working with kids because I like to make a positive impact on their lives and encourage a love of learning. I'm looking for a job that will supplement my current role as a District RN for Akron Children's Hospital in the role of school health for Akron Public Schools. I started working with kids when I was a teenager babysitting. I coached gymnastics for over 20 years at the recreational and competitive levels. I have 3 Bachelor degrees in Child Life, Psychology and Nursing. In my spare time, I like to participate in Ironman triathlons, travel and spend time with family and friends. One thing you should know about me is I love making a difference in people's lives! My skills include knowledge of child development and a medical background, searching out enriching activities for growth and development and great communication skills with children and their parents.
