About Julie

Hello! My name is Julie. I currently live in Hoboken but as I am close to the path station as well two bus routes, I am open to families both in New Jersey and NYC. I have taught in the New Jersey public schools for almost three years and have taught both elementary and middle school. I have also worked in childcare for over 10 years as a counselor and then director of a summer camp, as a paraprofessional, as a substitute teacher, and as as a tutor. Currently I work full-time as a nanny in New York City. My wide array of experience has given me familiarity with a variety of curricula across the grade levels such as Reading and Writing Workshop, Foundations, Words their Way, Everyday Math, and Pearson Realize to name a few. Whether your child needs helps on those tricky homework assignments or just needs help with certain skills and concepts, I pride myself in creating a fun and low-stress atmosphere so every session is something your child is excited to go to and give their all.
