Julie was a full-time nanny for our firstborn until she got a teaching position. After that, she provided intermittent childcare on weekends and school breaks for our two children (now ages 4 and 6). With our kids, she was the right combination of caring, fun, smart, and silly. She played, cooked, danced, sang, read, snuggled, taught manners, and took them on lots of fun outings in our car and on foot. Julie house/pet sat for us many times (2 cats, 2 dogs), which was a godsend. She also did odd jobs for us unrelated to childcare like packing us for trips, getting plane/car food ready, making arrangements, etc. She is one of those rare people who just always works hard and knows how to get the job done. She thinks on her feet, but also asks questions when needed. Julie is competent, reliable, and thoughtful. My entire family just loves her. I would hire her in a heartbeat to do absolutely anything. If only she still lived in Washington . . . Floridians are lucky to have her!
