About Julie

I would love to help you keep your children in their loving home environment in a one-on-one, nurturing family setting. I am the proud momma of four grown daughters and a grandma to 3 little ones. I worked formerly as a Certified Parent Educator (teen moms), Child Development teacher, and parent coach. In addition, I have previous paid experience caring for newborns through school-age. I've had up to 3 children at a time. I've done homeschool (preschool) lessons and homework help. I've taken kiddos on outings like Story Time at the library and play time at the park. A recent job involved working with a toddler who had a traumatic brain injury at 6 months. I went to physical/occupational/speech therapy with her and helped her practice at home. My current position is with an infant who was 12 weeks when I began working with him. I can also help with light household duties and errands. Julie has worked for us for 1.5 years now, starting from when my daughter was 4 months old. We feel so blessed to have had Julie, especially throughout this critical time since we discovered my daughter had a stroke at 6 months old. It is clear that Julie has a background in child development and approaches her with a caring and calm demeaner, from the very fussy newborn stage to defiant toddler stage. She has helped to sleep train her, takes diligent notes at her therapy appointments, keeps her entertained with activities in the community/park, and provides valuable feedback and suggestions on her development. I probably feel more attached to Julie as part of the family than my own child :). Beyond childcare, Julie is always punctual, flexible, trustworthy, and is easy to work with. Unfortunately, we will be moving and have to let her care for another family. If you are lucky enough to hire Julie for your children, do not hesitate and rest assured that you are in the best hands!
