I am a dependable, thoughtful person who enjoys helping other people - in good physical condition & live an active lifestyle. I have many senior friends whose company I enjoy.. As the eldest of 8, mother & grandma, former manager of a team of professionals, I am skilled at working with people & personalities. I enjoy seniors because IMHO these lovely folks have years of experience in the world making them wise and open minded. (Not all, of course, but most.) We have much to learn from them. I'm looking for a job that offers opportunities to brighten someone's day and lighten the load for their family who loves them. I started caring for seniors as a teen by volunteering in a senior citizen facility. I helped care for my mom as she needed assistance due to surgery & declining health. I helped with medical appointments & other paperwork along with companionship, meal preparation, mobility issues, laundry etc. I enjoy family time, cooking & reading and volunteering.
