About Julian

Hello, I'm a 31-year-old writer born and raised in Portland, Oregon. I attended The Catlin Gabel School where students formulate lesson plans and teach classes. This is where I learned to express ideas and lead discussions. I attended Portland State University and graduated with an English degree. This is my first entry into the tutoring world, so you can certainly find someone with more experience than I. But I've accrued experience in the skills of teaching as an aspiring writer and director. I've typically tended bar to pay bills as I work on my career, but I'd like to do something more meaningful with my time. I read constantly and was in the 92nd percentile in the SATs, so I feel I have a lot to offer and would like to pass my knowledge along. I'm patient, soft spoken, and I love being creative. I've learned through working with actors that different personalities need different approaches. I like asking questions, not dictating answers.
