About Julian

I began working with Julian D., my therapist, on 3/13/2023, after a 3/9/2023 Evaluation of my post-stroke needs. I wanted to make more focused progress in unassisted walking. My left leg has a deficit that prevents my unassisted walking. Thus, I mostly use a walker. Julian is and very competent. He also has quite a sense of humor. Julian is careful to frame the instructions for all aspects of my exercises. He evaluates my movements and provides sufficient feedback and encouragement. Julian works with me step-by-step and builds on each of the steps for me to be able to complete each exercise. Besides walking in the sunlight patio practicing transitions to the passenger seat of our SUV. Facing Julian, I practice my standing and equilibrium exercises and walking exercises between the kitchen island and the fixed counter. Julian regularly has me wear my gait belt to prevent falls. I am very pleased with my progress and occupational therapy for balance, gait and function.
