About Julia

Hello, my name is Julia. I have 3 years of experience in taking care of children (in addition to having raised my two younger siblings). I love reading, writing, admiring beautiful landscapes, and listening to music. I have two cats that are like children to me. I would describe my personality as patient, loving, and fun. I like working with kids because it reminds me of how childhood can be such a sweet, cherished, and important time in a person's life. It is an extremely important phase to shape our "self." One thing you should know about me is that English is not my first language, but Portuguese is. However, my level is intermediate, and I learn easily! My skills include being creative, always coming up with new activities, entertaining children, and entering their world so that they have fun and feel heard and understood. I can play the piano and guitar, and I love reading; I am good at handling difficult moments with calmness and patience; I am also good at cooking!
