Hello, I'm Julia! As of now, I'm looking for full-time or part-time hours for the summer. My experience as a caregiver began years ago as a babysitter and then full time nanny. I have an undergraduate degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Audiology, and Deaf Studies. After graduating, I began working as an instructor at an ABA-based school. This experience solidified my desire to work with the special needs population and encouraged me to pursue a mater's in SLP. I cherish the bonds I formed with my students, and there was nothing more rewarding than watching them make progress while helping them feel happy and safe. I worked with 8-15-year-olds with diagnoses such as autism, Angelman syndrome, Down syndrome, and those with sensory and physical impairments. In addition to providing ABA therapy, I often acted as a communication liaison for my students who communicate through ASL and assistive technology (i. e. PECS, LAMP, TouchChat). I also worked closely with BCBAs, SLPs, OTs, and PTs.
