About Julia

I started working with kids when I did work with other local non-profits in 2016. An average of 10 children from the ages of 1yo to 13 years old were in my care for 10 hours at a time. I was responsible for maintaining a clean environment, preparing and serving meals to the kids, creating and implementing lesson plans as well as provided case management. In addition to providing care directly to the children, I was a part of a team that taught "family matters" with both the children and their moms, a program that helped them work on beneficial discipline, situational awareness, listening skills, basic life-skills and problem solving skills in the home. I currently work as a pre-school teacher! In my spare time, I like to write, paint, and travel with family and friends! I have spent the last decade doing work with various non-profits (with a focus on substance abuse and homelessness) as well as working as a licensed nail technician in my families salon!
