About Julia

Hi! I'm Julia. I have worked as a nanny to toddlers and young children for 2 years. I am currently enrolled in college for early childhood education and biological anthropology, and I am CPR/First Aid certified. My approach to guiding children is letting them lead activities, by allowing them to investigate their space and communicate their boundaries, encouraging independent play time, asking for their help and input in chores and preparing meals, and letting them explore the world on their time. I believe in responding, not reacting, and teaching kids the difference to help them self regulate when they inevitably navigate difficult situations in their every day lives, even as young kids. I am a very routine oriented person, so I tend to structure our day and keep it predictable when possible, as I believe that builds security and trust with kids, and allows me to offer the most effective guidance I can.
