It's like being someone's angel. You experience so many different situations that you can't exactly pinpoint everything. My mother started getting dementia and I got a table Christmas tree to keep her oriented. Yes there are gross things you have to do but you do them knowing it's THE RIGHT THING to do . It's hard, strenuous, tiring, and back wrenching but nothing you would trade in the world to keep doing it. You keep that person's spirits up. You don't cry over them. You keep bathing and dressing them and keeping their hair in order (because that's what they'd want). You treat that person with integrity and honor, never belittling they're character. I can't even describe everything in this answer . Love is so important. You must have more love in your heart than most. You never question your own decisions because you were with them until the end. I wouldn't give up that opportunity for the world. I will cherish it forever and know that I did right by her.
