About Julia

I am a 61 yo retired teacher. I am needing some supplemental income. My mother is 83 yo and currently lives with me. I am responsible for taking care of her and driving her to appointments, grocery shopping, etc. My mother is still independent so she can be left alone for periods of time, but I would only like to work part time. I do not have any type of medical degree and prefer only being a companion. I can gladly run errands, pick up medications, grocery shop, drive the individual places, etc. I am very comfortable with pets and will take care of them if needed. My father had a heart attack at 55 yo and was without oxygen for too long. He had symptoms of someone who has Alzheimer's. I also helped take care of him for six years. The above mentioned times are my only experience taking care of seniors, but I will be a fantastic companion for a senior!
