About Julia

I can thank my parents for my love for animals! I grew up on a ranch in Texas with 40 animals, including dogs, cats, horses, birds, snakes, and many more kinds. Right now, I just have 1 Betta fish and his name is Finnegan. I have also professionally worked with animals and I will share some of my experiences below: I have helped with simple grooming tasks, such as, bathing and blow drying. I have worked with dog's whom have had seizures, high anxiety, and found miraculous ways to calm the situation. At USDA, I would feed and water animals including cows, horses and sheep, according to schedules and feeding instructions. I have provided treatment to sick or injured animals. I have also transferred animals between enclosures to facilitate breeding, birthing, shipping, or rearrangement of exhibits. Lastly, I milked cows daily and tested for dangerous bacteria such as Salmonella, E. coli, Listeria, Campylobacter, and Bovine Mastitis.
