About Juanita

I have been a substitute teacher in previous years for Lexington School District 4 ranging from elementary school age children to high school. I was hired as a part time /full time child development teacher for several years serving children from birth to after schoolers as lead teacher and/or substitute. My job duties consisted of the care of newborn infants and toddlers. Duties included diaper changes, feeding, temperature checks, reading, napping techniques which may include back, ear or head rubs for sleep stimulation, floor exercises, play time, outdoor strolls, music, and anything fun and exciting that would keep them engaged. Afterschool duties with a ratio of 24 kids included homework assistance, projects, crafting, reading, fun and creative outdoor play time, basketball, kickball, pushing children on the swings, dance and chair exercise, math and reading tutoring for children ranging from 5 - 12 years of age. I created a safe, loving and FUN environment for all of my children.
